What is the closest airport?

The closest airport to Bear Trap Ranch is Colorado Springs International Airport. But you can also fly into Denver International Airport, which tends to have lower airfares. You will need to rent a car to make the trip to Colorado Springs if you choose this option.

How do I get from the airport to Bear Trap?

You may choose to rent a car and drive to the Ranch. We will provide detailed directions. If you are interested in car-pooling with other guys, we will get you connected with others arriving on Check-In day.

What will the weather be like?

Autumn in the mountains of Colorado produces mild temperatures during the day and chilly temperatures in the evenings and early mornings. We recommend packing long pants and long-sleeved t-shirts or sweaters.

Speaking of packing, do you have a suggested "What To Bring" list?

Great question! We recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing for 4 full days, underwear, a hat or knit cap, sturdy shoes for hiking, a flashlight, your Bible and a notebook, bedding for a single mattress, and personal items (deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush). Is there a way for my family to contact me while I'm at the Ranch?

Cell phone service is unavailable at the Ranch but available outside of the ranch and up on the mountain side. However, your family can call Bear Trap Ranch directly at (719) 632-0740. Internet is also available in the main dining hall.
